Linda Orsini:

To see what is going on, that is good. And that what I can be thankful for. Because it's a choice, I can choose to be miserable, I can choose to lament over what could have happened, what should have happened, what I want it to happen. Or I could choose really to be present and accept each moment as it is, because I am just a small grain of sand in this big tapestry of called life. And so these are my choices. So I offer you this question. How are you choosing to see each moment

Linda Orsini:

Welcome to a call for love. I'm so glad you're here, because my name is Linda Orisni. And I'm a teacher for Mind Body Spirit transformation and healing. I help people change their relationship with the thoughts and emotions to find greater peace, to live more authentically, and in your higher consciousness through programs and courses, especially my emotional freedom self paced course, or through one to one mentoring. And what I want to share with you today is that you have a choice. The other day, I went out with my friend, Liz, and we were saying how these pivotal moments like New Year's Day, birthdays, and special occasions, that, you know, they are times to create new intentions. And then I had said to her, you know, every moment is a new beginning for me, really, it's like my mom, back in the day, she said she was always on a diet, you know, she ate something. And the next second, she said, Okay, my diet begins now. Well, that might not be the case for you. In terms of eating regime, however it can be in your thought processes. And so today is a love letter to you to make each moment, a new choice. And I like to read inspirations every day. And I'm going to begin here with a quick little home that I found. And it's from the motivational doctor. And here it is, I have a choice. Every day of my life. I choose to feel blessed, I choose to feel grateful, I choose to be excited, I choose to be thankful, I choose to be happy. I choose to smile, and thank the universe for this beautiful blessing called life. That's what it is. Each moment is finding those little glimmers of gratitude and blessings to light in your path. For the moment. You know, the only will always say this, the only moment you have is now but it is so true. Right? In this moment. This is your only moment, you do not know what's going to come next. And actually, this morning when I was lying in bed, when I wake up, I don't really spring out of bed right away. I wake up quite early, sometimes I wake up at four or five in the morning. And of course, for me, it's not time to get up. I know some that do. But for me, I tried to go back to sleep. And so this morning, I decided I was going to create my own little mantra, my own little meditation in the morning. And so I inhaled. And in my mind, I created the word now. And on the exhale, I released gone. Now I was thinking of inhaling here, and then exhale and gone. But here felt like a location, and now felt like a time. And what I wanted to really do is become present to each moment and see it disappear. Because once that exhale goes, it's gone. It's just like what happened yesterday, although we live it over and over in our minds. It's really actually gone. It is it's no longer. So I inhale now. And then I exhale gone. That kind of helped me bring myself into the moment. And guess what, I fell asleep, which was my intention. You know, that's not always your intention when you're meditating. But that was my intention. And so I feel that we have a choice in every given moment, how we want to feel how we want to be. And you know, sometimes you choose not to feel great, but at least that's a choice that you give yourself at least that's a choice that you can say, you know, I am consciously making this choice to feel a little down or blue and I can't really do anything about it. Or I can choose to feel blessed. I can choose to feel grateful I can choose to feel happy. And it is also so interesting. that this morning when I was talking to my sister, Patricia, we always have such great conversation, she says there's a difference between pleasure and happiness. Because you could have such pleasure that you could be eating a cake, a piece of cake. And then the next moment, you're not so happy. It didn't bring you pleasure, because now you realize you had had this delicious, beautiful, decadent piece of cake. And now it is fleeting. So in this moment, it doesn't mean the next moment, in this moment, what are you going to choose? That's the question for today. And it's always transient, right? But as I was saying, how I love to collect information and just really inspiration from other people. I have a friend whose name is Eleanor Hayward, and she shared from a post. We are the medicine by Rick brat. And it goes like this. A man whispered, creator speak to me, and a metal Lark saying, but the man did not hear. So the man yelled, universe speak to me. And the thunder rolled across the sky. But the man did not listen. The man looked around and said, let me see you. And a star shine brightly, but the man did not see. And the man show that show me a miracle. And a life was born. But the man did not notice. So the man cried out in despair, touch me and let me know you are here. Where upon the great mystery touched the man. But the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on. Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way you expect. It's unknown, the author. But is that not so powerful? Is that not so true? Here we are choosing each moment how we're going to respond to it, how we're going to see it? And sometimes we don't even see what's right in front of us. Isn't that so? Interesting? Right? It's so interesting how we are so in our heads, so in our thoughts, so in our own mental stories, drama, that we can't even see what's before us to make better choices on how we're going to live and respond. Now this is my mission in life is to really be more present, be more conscious, almost every episode has this thread in it. Because this is my goal. I really want to be intentional with my words, and with my thoughts and with my actions. And that begins with the choices I make. And so sometimes things happen to us. And we feel that we didn't have a choice. We cannot choose what happened to us. But this is the really beautiful thing, especially about the home is Is it our choice or the universe's choice. So, things happen in the grand scheme of life. And then it's our choice how we are going to respond. I find that I am able to do this sometimes better than others. Sometimes I look back at myself and say wow, that was very, very immature or very unmindful, or very emotional or very nonreflective. Like if I lament over something that really is insignificant. Let me give you an example. I didn't really want to bring it up this time. But okay, well, I was supposed to go on a trip to Egypt. Long story short, I wasn't able to go. And looking back. Yeah, it was disappointing. I when I look back, even at COVID people missed a lot of trips. Did I handle it? Well, no,

Linda Orsini:

I did not handle it. Well, am I proud of myself? No, not particularly. But this is the choice I'm going to make right now. I'm going to choose to forgive myself for those feelings I had, which are probably very natural and understandable. But now I'm going to choose to see my blessings to see what is going on. That is good and that what I can be thankful for. Because it's a choice. I can choose to be miserable. I can choose to lament over What could have happened, what should have happened, what I want it to happen. Or I could choose really to be present and accept each moment as it is, because I am just a small grain of sand in this big tapestry called life. And so these are my choices. So I offer you this question. How are you choosing to see each moment? Are you even seeing it like the man who didn't notice the star and the butterfly? Are you noticing it, and if you are noticing it, how you choosing to respond to it? These are really, really big questions. When we are so busy creating a home and a life for ourselves and others, paying bills and getting things done. Creating that time and space to think about those questions does not come easy. It has to be very purposeful. It has to be very mindful and, and deliberate. And that's why I enjoy and savor and really resonate with meditation so much. People say, Well, how can you like meditating, you know, you're just sitting by yourself in silence, but it gives me perspective. That's what we need. Now, if meditation is not your thing, you know, maybe going outside, everyone has saying, especially at this time of year, going outside, now that the weather is starting to get nicer, it's reflective time, is really reflective time to really see. And notice how you're feeling how you're responding. Breathing in now. And exhaling gone, it's gone, it's gone so fast, before you hardly even know it. And so today, my love letter for you. My love message on a call for love, is to really treat each new moment, as a new year as a new beginning as a new dawn. Because it is the last breath yesterday, it's gone. You can't change yesterday. Now I do believe you can heal it by you know, offering forgiveness for whatever has happened, or greater awareness. But basically, it is gone. The only moment is now, as you are listening or watching this podcast, you have a choice in this moment. How you're going to think what you're going to do, and what you're going to say? How are you going to do that? Are you going to do that with your highest self with your highest integrity? Or are you going to just allow yourself to sink in that hole of self limiting beliefs, past grievances, inner child wounds, lack of forgiveness, victimhood? Or are you going to take back your power? If you're driving, if you're walking, make a decision for your highest good for the highest good of all the people who are in your life, and our environment, and our world and our animals, everything to live from your best self. So that the words and the that come out of you, you can be proud of that the thoughts that you're thinking, radiate and emulate love, and that you can really hold space for all that good to really notice the blessings. As I said, I was talking to my sister this morning. I feel like I'm sharing lots of quotes with you today. But that's the kind of day it is. And this one I really love. We were talking about Judi Dench, you know, she was played in the James Bond movies as mother. She says, we get up in the morning. We do our best. Nothing else matters. I love that. I would say in each moment, we do our best and nothing else matters because you if you have to wait for a whole new day, then so much can happen. So I propose that in each moment. You treat it as a new day, a new beginning a new year. Whatever comes to your mind. Each moment is a new beginning. It's like that diet. Your Diet starts the next day or the next moment. Your way to think live and respond. Begin As in this moment, you have the choice to choose and change and shift the trajectory of the next moment by the choices you make now, so choose wisely. Choose from your higher self, and choose love. From my heart to yours. Namaste
